Purpose

Say & Play with Words is an initiative for families with young children birth to age 3. Primary goals are to:

• • • • • • Increase the capacity and capability of community partners to implement engaging educational programming for families;

          • Increase the abilities of families to talk more with their children, engage them in conversation, and target conversation to family routines, events, and reading together; and

          • Improve young children's language development and readiness for kindergarten.
