School Psychologist Internship

Fairview School District is excited to offer a paid* internship position.

Internship Opportunities

-K-12 placement, with Early Intervention evaluations in the spring

-Guided and independent completion of a variety of Special Education, 504, and Gifted evaluations

-Participation in current district initiatives

-District-based Autistic Support and Life-Skills Support classrooms

-Two supervising school psychologists with diverse backgrounds, including out-of-state experience

-Supervising school psychologists are administrators, so this internship will include experience working directly with the entire district administration team

Current Initiatives led by FSD School Psychologists

-Redesigning student support (data-based pre-referral) process

-Year 2 of district-wide PBIS implementation

-Universal mental health screening

-MTSS structure for behavior, social-emotional learning, and mental health

-Groups at elementary, middle, and high school level

-Provide professional development and training to staff and community members

-Collaboration with Allegheny Health Network Chill Project

Compensation

Fairview School District is partnering with the PA Department of Education and the Pennsylvania Higher Education Assistance Agency (PHEAA) to provide funding for this internship.

An intern who's primary residency is in the state of Pennsylvania will be participating in the PA HELPS program and will receive $25,000.
