Welcome to my classroom! Whether it's Engish or Theatre, I strive to make all students feel welcome and at home in my classroom. This is a place of learning and making memories, of critical thinking and creative expression, of hard work and determination, of silliness and seriousness; it is a place for all. This is a place where, if you strive, you will thrive -- and find your greatness.

I believe that all students have something special in them, and as a teacher it is my job to create an environment where special talents will grow and flourish. There will be many opportunities in my classroom for students to challenge themselves as well as others, and we will all learn and grow together as a whole. In this classroom, you will be empowered with the tools of knowledge and learning -- and whether it is with grammar, essay writing, critical thinking, or expressing yourself through theatre, you will find everything you need here to grow as a student and as a person.

About me

I graduated from Morehead State in 2010 where I received my Bachelor of Fine Arts degree in Creative Writing. I later received my Master of Arts in Teaching from University of the Cumberlands.

I decided to become a teacher because I wanted to make a change in the world, whether big or small (I hope it's big! But we'll see). I have a great love of learning and knowledge, and I try to pass that on to my students. It is a good feeling to go to work at a place I love and see students learn and grow in so many different ways.

My wife and I have two beautiful boys, and they are my joy. I am constantly looking forward to what the future brings.
