Projects

We have formed a strategic partnership with the Anne and Kirk Douglas Playground Awards Foundation and have become co-grantors in building new, safe, handicapped accessible playgrounds on secure school property. Based on our objectives and research conducted on a number of school grant proposals, we are honored to be an integral part of the construction of five new Los Angeles School District playgrounds in 2003, which include:

1. Dearborn Avenue Elementary School in Northridge

2. Elysian Heights Elementary School in Echo Park

3. Gridley Elementary School in the San Fernando Valley

4. Ligget Street Elementary School in Panorama City

5. O'Melveny Elementary School in the San Fernando Valley

All LAUSD schools are invited to apply and are encouraged to renovate the playgrounds and revitalize their school campuses. Among the projects supported, schools have installed new, safe ADA playground equipment, added rubber surfacing, grass and trees to play yards and have made tremendous strides in mainstreaming the special needs population into their school infrastructure.
