Noodletools
Noodletools is a program that can be used for research organization, and can be accessed through your FPS Google account.
Log into your Google account.
Open your Google Drive.
Select the Apps icon(waffle) and choose "More".
Click the Noodletools icon.
NOTE- The first time you access Noodletools you will be asked to set up your account. You may be asked to enter your google ID (@fairfieldschools.net) and then select "Sign in with Google". You will be asked if you are a student or a teacher. You will then be asked to identify your school and choose your anticipated graduation year. This is the year you will graduate from High School.
Creating a Project
The first step is to create a new project.
Name your project.
Choose MLA 9
Choose Junior level(for most projects)
Select Submit
Sharing Your Project
You may be asked to share your project with your teacher or library media specialist.
Click the "Share with a project inbox".
Start typing the name of your teacher's inbox. It should appear in the dialog box.
Select the correct inbox and then click "Done".
Your teacher can view your project and may add comments as you work.
Collaborative Projects
Working with a partner? There are a couple of ways to share your project:
One partner can share with the other(s) by selecting the Add Students button.
Enter your partner's google address
"Full collaborator" should be checked
Click "Done".
Now each partner can access the project.
Adding Sources to a Project
For Detailed directions for each type of resource scroll to the bottom to view the short videos.
Where is it? What is it?
Click the green "+ Create a new citation" button.
Select the type of resource you are citing and complete the citation form.

Copying/Exporting your Works Cited List
When your Sources list is complete you will print or export the Works Cited page.
Select the "Print/Export drop down menu.
Choose the method of printing or exporting assigned by your teacher.
If you are pasting the citation into a multimedia presentation(website/video/slide show/etc.) choose "Preview as a Web Page. Then you can copy the entire page and paste it into another source.
