How to print to the Chromebook? PaperCut Directions
Will the Chromebooks hold their charge for the entire day? If not, how will students charge them?
Yes, Chromebooks can hold their charge for 1 - 2 days, depending on what you're doing on the Chromebook (online streaming, gaming uses more power). But STUDENTS SHOULD CHARGE THEIR CHROMEBOOK EACH NIGHT to ensure full power for each school day's activities.
Technology Questions
Can CMPFT fitness data be entered and results analyzed? Is there software that factors in age, gender, individual score and passing score to determine health fitness and high fitness performance? (Student Management had a program before we switched to Infinite campus)
There was a program built for PE in the past, however there is no program that exists right now to help with this task.
What is a software that can help with inputting text into a document?
While Read&Write has great features, the one I have found the most intuitive is https://www.speechtexter.com/ it has cool features and allows you to change the font type, size, bold, add bullets, provides word count etc.
WordPress teacher pages?
The district is switching websites. No more WordPress. Moving to Final Site. We need to talk to teachers about saving their pages, etc. We will probably go live July 1, 2019. But the Wordpress pages will be saved. So no panic. But we need to get teachers ready.
How can I get my email from Office 365 and Gmail together?
We will be moving all email to O365 – in the cloud. Gmail emails and our regular school emails will now be combined and we will see both in one email system. The gmail system will be opened up for teachers to receive and email beyond the .net domain.
How will we be able to monitor students?
Go Guardian – or another software – may be funded so teachers can see what their students are doing on their Chromebooks (or other devices) This is tracked by a student's profile. Teachers can even see what a student does at home if he/she is logged in.
Will the WiFi be improved with the additional devices?
MS wifi will be updated this summer. The LAN switches at HS and MS will also be replaced this summer.
