Alexandre Anahory Simões is an Assistant Professor at IE University's School of Science and Technology, and a member of the IE Research Data Lab. His research lies in the intersection of dynamical systems, numerical analysis, control theory, mathematical physics, and differential geometry, with a focus on geometric mechanics, nonholonomic systems, and the geometric integration of dynamical systems.

He earned his PhD in Mathematics from the Universidad Autónoma de Madrid (ICMAT) in 2021, following an MSc in Mathematics and a BSc in Physics from the University of Lisbon.
