Peter was called by ECC to be their part time pastor at the beginning of 2018. From the beginning of 2019, he has been the Full Time Pastor at ECC.
Peter was born in Plymouth and has lived in Devon all his life. He is married to Chela, a physiotherapist and they have three daughters and a granddaughter. He came to Christ through going to a summer camp at the age of eleven and continues his involvement with camps as a trustee for the Menadue Camps in North Cornwall.
For around fifteen years Peter was involved in business, both in the soft drinks industry and property development. In 2010 he started undertaking a course of studies at Spurgeon’s College London and in 2013 was called by St Thomas Baptist Church, Exeter, to be their associate minister.
Building bridges and developing relationships with the local community are his passion.
Marie is from Exeter and joined Exwick Community Church in 1993 at the age of 15. She has been involved in children's and youth work since then, and loves working with young people.
Marie works at the RD&E where she heads up the Cash Management Team.
In her spare time Marie loves to cook and research family history. Marie has been married to Nick since 2005.
On the Leadership Team, Marie is involved with the young people's leadership and with supporting the financial administration of the Church. Marie is also one of the church’s safeguarding leads.
My name is Matt. My family and I have been attending Exwick Community Church since 2021. We have loved our time here and it is great to be a part of a welcoming family church with a heart for the local community. I am blessed to be able to serve in mission work in both Romania and Moldova, and am excited to see how God can use us to serve him in the future.
I moved to Exeter in 2021 together with my wife Lucia and our cat Ginger. After attending several churches, I started going regularly to ECC. I felt very welcomed here and blessed by worshiping the Lord with the congregation. In 2023 we moved to a different part of Exeter but we decided to continue attending ECC.
I am originally from Romania. I came to Britain in 2008 as a community pharmacist. My job gives me the opportunity to meet and talk to different people and help with health advice and medication related queries. At the moment I work in a supermarket pharmacy.
In my spare time, I enjoy gardening, walking in a local park, playing football, exploring nature (especially mountains) and reading.
Harri lives and works in Exwick. She has worshipped at ECC since moving to Exeter in 1997. Harri has a passion for children; at ECC she is part of the Sunday morning children's work team and during the week manages The Exwick Ark Limited, which consists of the Exwick Ark Nursery, The Ark at Tresillian and The Ark at Avanti Kindergarten and Out of School club, with her friend Paula.
One day a week Harri works as a Young Families worker in Exwick. Harri is on the Exwick Messy Church team and Friday Friendship team.
Harri has been a Director on the board of South West Youth Ministries since 2002, has been on the Exwick Parish Hall committee nearly as long, and is married to Trevor. They have 3 grown up children. They have a dog called Suki.
Chris started working for ECC as a Community Worker through Exeter YMCA in October 2020. Prior to that he worked as a secondary music teacher, including thirteen years at West Exe Technology College. Music remains one of his main passions, along with sport and spending time with his grandchildren.
He recently spent two and a half years volunteering along with Debbie, his wife, teaching in an International Christian School in Tirana, Albania – a thoroughly enriching experience.
Debbie moved to Exeter in 1999 with her husband, Chris, and their three children. She served as a governor and also taught Science in Exeter schools before moving to Tirana, Albania in 2017 with Chris.
She taught at an International Christian School there, until June of 2020. She has been a member of Exwick Community Church for over 20 years and became a community worker for ECC in October 2020. She loves working in the Exwick community and especially enjoys her work with children.
In her spare time, Debbie loves gardening, cycling around the beautiful Devon countryside and spending time with her 3 children and 5 grandchildren.
Sandy heads up the day to day management of our church. She has been at ECC since its beginning in 1993. She originally comes from California but has been living in Exeter since 1987 and considers the people at ECC to be her spiritual family.
Sandy also plays guitar in Sunday services and is part of the preaching team. She and her husband, Graeme, who heads up the worship team, have two adult sons, a daughter-in-law and three grandchildren.
Sandy also teaches English to international students and is the author of "Steps Toward", a devotional series exploring different themes in down-to-earth ways.
