The University of Bucharest is organizing the redistribution of places reserved for the category Romanians Abroad / Ethnic Romanians for the Bachelor’s degree cycle, which remained unoccupied after the July 2025 admission session.
All candidates validated in the July 2025 Bachelor’s admission session, who remained on the waiting list after the preliminary ranking and were subsequently rejected in the final lists, may apply for up to 3 study programs from the unoccupied places, in order to be admitted to the University of Bucharest.
Candidates must access the redistribution platform via this link: https://forms.gle/iiNEfSip8m799tAa8, complete their personal information, and upload the admission form filled in and signed by hand.

What is a “Romanian Ethnic”?
Based on the Law no. 299/2007, Romanian Ethnics represent:
a. the persons who freely assume the Romanian cultural identity;
b. the persons of Romanian origin and those belonging to the Romanian linguistic and cultural vein, who live outside the borders of Romania, regardless of the ethnonym used (armâni, armânji, aromâni, basarabeni, bucovineni, cuţovlahi, daco-români, fărşeroţi, herţeni, istro-români, latini dunăreni, macedoromâni, macedo-români, maramureşeni, megleniţi, megleno-români, moldoveni, moldovlahi, rrămâni, rumâni, valahi, vlahi, vlasi, volohi, macedo-armânji) as well as all other lexical forms semantically related to the above;
c. Romanian emigrants, whether or not have retained Romanian citizenship, their descendants, as well as Romanian citizens with permanent domicile or residence abroad.
Be aware that if you possess Romanian citizenship and residence in Romania you must follow the admission process directly at the faculty of your choice as a Romanian citizen!
Faculty admission:
Candidates that wish to apply for Bachelor's/Master's/Phd degree (as paying paying students) programs must follow the admission process organised by the Faculties.
The study fees are in the national currency (RON - Romanian leu).
Paying students do not have granted accommodation nor “Romanian Ethnics” scholarship.

International Relations admission:
Applicants who wish to apply for bachelor's, master's, or doctoral programs — either on a tuition-free basis with a scholarship or without a scholarship — must go through the admission process organized by the International Relations Office.
Below you can find listed all the needed information regarding the admission process.
If you do not know the Romanian language, or you do not hold a Romanian Language proficiency certificate, you must apply for the Romanian Preparatory Year.

Read carefully the following list where you can find all the mandatory documents needed in order to have a valid file.
Before you start the admission process check that your high school diploma is listed in the list of recognized high school diplomas by the Ministry of Education in Romania.
All the documents submitted through the platform should be renamed according to the following pattern: Type of document. Surname
example: Highschool Diploma.[your surname]
Using the admission button, you can access the dedicated platform where you must submit all the required documents and fill all the mandatory information in order to generate your admission file.
The omission on the admission platform of any of the above mentioned documents will invalidate your submitted file!
Once you have successfully sent your documentation, you have to wait for the issuing of the letter of acceptance by the Ministry of Education.
Be aware that the process can take a minimum of 30 working days. As soon as the Ministry of Education will issue the letter, you will receive a confirmation email from the University of Bucharest.
After obtaining the Letter of Acceptance and the study visa issued by the Romanian Embassy, you must book an appointment for the enrollment using the following calendar (Multiple appointments for the same person are NOT accepted).
Make sure the calendar is on the Eastern European Time-Bucharest (GMT +02:00).
You can now come to our office for the enrollment (90, Panduri Road, 4th floor, room 404, Bucharest, Romania).
The candidate must be present in person for the enrollment!
Make sure you come at the appointment only after you book it in advance and with all the original documents uploaded on the admission platform plus:
a. Letter of acceptance (original);
b. Proof of payment (original);
Keep in mind that the bank fees are NOT included in the tuition fee specified in the letter of acceptance issued by the Ministry of Education.
c. Passport with student visa;
d. 4 photos ¾ cm;
Please note that the enrollment will take place ONLY if you submit at the office the originals for all the documents!
Candidates who have received a letter of acceptance from the Ministry of Education as scholarship holders can request accommodation. Accommodation is provided at no cost in the university's dormitories, but only if requested before arrival in Romania and subject to dormitory availability.
