Booking Guidelines

• Fly into and out of Denpasar, Bali (Ngurah Rai International Airport, airport code: DPS)

• Arrive between 5:00 (5am) and 22:00 (10pm) on the day your program begins 

  • • Please note that you will likely need to depart 1-2 days before your program start date in order to arrive on your program start date.  If you need to arrive a day early due to flight routes from your area, you may do so with an $250 fee for the extra day

    • Bali must be your port of entry into Indonesia. Please do not arrive through Jakarta or any other island as entry requirements differ. 

• Depart between 5:00 (5am) and 23:00 (11pm) on the day your program ends

    • Book on your own 

      • • GLA recommends families avoid booking connecting flights on separate tickets and to avoid flights on Spirit or Frontier Airlines.

        • When booking directly with the airline, they may require passengers to present the credit card used to book the flight at check-in.

Unaccompanied Minor Program

• • • Unaccompanied Minor Program: Typically, this program is required by certain airlines for travelers 14 years & younger when traveling alone (each airline is different). 

    • Please contact us if you’ve purchased the optional Unaccompanied Minor service for your student and require a point of contact for arrival/departure.

Suggested Route

For each program, we suggest a flight route that is the most direct, with the fewest number of stops, and always leaving from a US gateway airport. Check the suggested routes on the Flight Portal.
