A tourist visa is REQUIRED for travel to Ghana for students not traveling with a Ghanaian passport.

Please review all documents and start this process ASAP!

Timeline to Submit Your Visa Application

Ghana: Children of Africa 1: June 19-July 2 - Submit visa application between March 27th & May 8th. 

Ghana: Roots of West Africa: June 27-July17 - Submit visa application between April 4th & May 16th

Ghana: Children of Africa 2:  July 6-July 19- Submit visa application between April 13th & May 25th. 

Ghana: Children of Africa 3: July 23-Aug 5- Submit visa application between May 1st & June 11th.

GLA Visa Process - Please Read!

Step 1: Place an Order with G3 Visa at: https://g3visas.com/clients/gla

Step 2: Email G3 the Required Documents to GLA@g3visas.com (Subject Line: Order # and Traveler’s Name (ex: Order#123456 - John Brown)

1. Completed Ghana Questionnaire

2. School Information in the USA, including:

   • • • • Name

         • Address

         • Phone Number

         • Email

3. Passport Copy: 

   • • • • Copy of Information Page - Must be signed

         • Must have at least 6 months of validity 

         • Must have at least two blank pages marked "Visas" side-by-side available

4. Photo: Student’s Passport-Style Photo (Must meet these requirements):

   • • • • Two identical 2” x 2” passport-size photographs 

         • Taken within the last 6 months

         • On photo paper

         • Plain white background

         • No glasses

         • No hat

5. If you are under 18: 

   • • • Photocopy of your birth certificate showing both parents’ names.

       • Parents' Identification: 

         • • • • Photocopy of both parents’ passports (photo/signature page) OR driver’s licenses.

6. International Flight Itinerary (Must include):

   • • • Traveler’s full name

       • Ghana entry/exit dates

       • Ticket number on the itinerary

7. Yellow Fever Vaccination Certificate (Must include the traveler’s full name as it appears on the passport)

   • • • Visit a local travel clinic or doctor's office to get your vaccination.

8. Ghana Invitation Letter (GLA will send this to you!)

Step 3: Application Initiation Processing

Important: Please ensure all required documents are provided to the G3 agent to initiate the application process. Once all documents are received, G3 will process the application and send the you the following:

• • 1. 1. 1. 1. 1. 1. Finalized Application – Needs to be signed by parents for those under 18 (instructions will be emailed from G3).

                   2. Ghana Consent Form for those under 18 – Needs to be signed and notarized (instructions will be emailed from G3).

                   3. FedEx Inbound Label – Provided for shipping physical documents to G3.

Step 4: Receiving your Ghana Visa

• Once the visa is approved, G3 will ship the passport with the approved visa (sticker in the passport) back to you.

• The tracking details for the return shipment will be provided via email.
