Today is officially Day #2 of the LC Championship and Excel has started off with a quick start! Our Thursday distance session saw huge time drops from swimmers of all age group and left us with a sizable point lead over our rivals HSA and NAC.
Day#2 prelims brought us a new team record in the 13-14 Boys 50 Fly from Chanler Neill with a time of 26.90 while Cam Richardson hit his NCSA Junior cut in the 100 Back with a time of 1:01.11.
That's all the results that we have so far but please keep an eye on our social media for daily meet recaps.

After the 13 and over session finished up, the Excel senior coaches headed over to the 12 & Under pool for more swimming!
Congratulations to Excel's Jason Wang for his selection to the National Interscholastic Swim Coaches Association High School All-American list for his time of 1:49.91 in the 200 IM. Every year, NISCA ranks the top 100 times in each high school event and awards them the title of All-America. Well done Jason!

USA Swimming uses a ranking system to allow teams to objectively compare their clubs against each other. The scoring system is complex (explained in the link below) but informative. Over the last couple of seasons, we have finished up between 46th and 60th out of the 3,500 clubs in the country. However, heading into the SES Championships, we are 41st! You can check it all out here.

All of our parent volunteers play a vital role in hosting meets. We simply could not host meets in your absence. While most jobs take little training or experience, meet officials go through an educational and training process that enables them to help officiate at all meets. In fact, our own Excel officials have outnumbered the host team officials in both our first two meets. We are very grateful to our officiating crew but are always looking for new members.
