Spring Splash Meet
Spring Splash Meet
Last weekend we kicked off our Long Course season with the Spring Splash meet hosted at the Ensworth school. While the first meet of any season can be full of surprises, we had no idea how many we would see! Over the course of two days, 228 Excel swimmers raced just under a 1,000 races and came up with 80% lifetime bests. Even this early in the season, we were seeing lots of new qualifying swims at both the Southeastern and Age Group Sectional level. We were thrilled to add 10 additional swimmers to the Long Course SES roster and are celebrating one AAAA time. But the biggest news was our 11-12 boys team of Jax Brodoski, Caleb Asebrook, Abram Rickstrew and Kingston Dealy added one more notch to their impressive resume. Coming off short course wins at the SES and AGS meets where they set two LSC records, they jumped right back in this week and broke a 39 year old LSC long course 200 Free Relay record.
However, perhaps what stood out the most on deck were the supportive and enthusiastic attitudes of the whole team. Many times during the weekend, coaches would stop and point out yet another example of swimmer-to-swimmer interactions that made us all proud. Congratulations to you all for swimming a fast meet, and being such a strong team!

Gallatin & Murfreesboro Drylands
We are excited to announce two new partnerships for our Gallatin and Murfreeboro swimmers that will greatly enhance their strength and conditioning programming. FY2 Fitness and Blueprint Fitness will begin training our Varsity and Senior athletes this next week and we are exciting for this new opportunity. Death Valley Open Water Swim
Death Valley Open Water Swim
The 2022 Death Valley Open water race will be on Saturday, June 4th in Clemson SC. This is a rare opportunity to race open water in preparation to sending athletes to Open Water Nationals in 2023. Like last year, we will also tag on a white water rafting trip in Ocoee, TN on Friday.
Note- The Southeastern LSC has decided to not send a team to Open Water Zones so this opportunity becomes even more important.
