Washington State requires all high school graduates to complete a High School and Beyond Plan (HSBP) to articulate their plans for the future. Completion of the HSBP is done through Xello. Approval of the HSBP is done by the Career Guidance Specialist.

Mountain View works to prepare students for life after high school, whatever the student's post-secondary plans are. This includes incorporating career guidance and development activities into core classes, such as career exploration, college research, financial planning, resume writing, mock interviews, work-based learning, and much more.

If a student's High School & Beyond Plan is not approved by finals week of 1st semester of their Senior year, they will receive a "NC" for that grading period in their Senior Social Studies class.
