Concert Choir

is the premier vocal ensemble at Mt.View High School. This 70 member auditioned touring ensemble consists of Juniors and Seniors, and focuses on a high standard of choral literature spanning from the Renaissance to Contemporary. This is a choir of great versatility and they frequently perform music from around the globe in dozens of languages. Students in Concert Choir represent a cross-section of the Mt.View student body: over the past five years every club, sport, and activity has had members in Concert Choir. Alumni of this choir can be found singing in most Washington Universities, as well as collegiate campuses throughout the Northwest. In recent years this choir has toured the Northwest as well as San Francisco where they have won numerous awards at choral festivals. There have also been many soloists that have placed regionally and won awards at the Washington State Solo/Ensemble Contest.

Symphonic Choir

is a mixed voice group for those who are serious about learning more about the art of choral singing. They perform a wide variety of high quality literature and are a part of the four major concerts per year as well as various community events.

Treble Choir

is the entry level ensemble that is part of Mountain View’s comprehensive music department. All female singers are welcome to join from all levels of interest. The group is comprised of all age groups and usually includes as many as 60 voices. They perform in 4 concerts annually.

Thunder Men

is a choir of boys grades 9-12 from all different walks of life open to all musical levels. These men are brought together by the distinct brotherhood and camaraderie of male ensemble singing. They perform in 4 concerts annually as well as assemblies and community events.

is an audition only 16 voice acapella choir which rehearses in the zero hour at 7:30 a.m. This is a high level musical group that enters our district’s solo ensemble contest with chamber music every year (won 1st place at regionals and 2nd place at the State Level) but sings a variety of literature with the main focus on contemporary acapella. This group represents Mountain View at our sporting events with the Star Spangled Banner and can be heard all through the year at community events.

Combined Men's Choir

will be singing "Soldier's Elegy" by Michael C. Kregler at the Veteran's Day Assembly this year.
