Current Offerings

UPDATE: March 18th's Club Wednesday is cancelled. Club Wednesday is considered a field trip and therefore falls under these event postponements and cancellations:

Evergreen Public Schools has decided to proactively begin suspending events that bring large groups of students, adults, and community members together as Washington and Oregon respond to COVID-19. This action is not related to an increase in COVID-19 cases in Clark County, and at this time, there are no presumptive cases associated with Evergreen Public Schools. School districts in our area have not been directed to close by Washington Governor Jay Inslee.

The suspension of non-essential school-based activities begins immediately. As of 11:00 today (Thursday, March 12) through Spring Break, the following are now canceled:

· School Concerts and Performances

· Middle School Girls Basketball Games

· School Assemblies

· School-wide events (such as PTA/O, Booster Clubs)

· Dances

· Volunteers working within schools

· Field trips

· Washington state (WIAA-sanctioned) drama and dance competitions

· Professional Staff Development requiring substitutes

Middle school students can enjoy this free program on district-wide early release Wednesdays. Activities include swimming, open gym, games fitness activities and weightlifting. Busing is provided to either Firstenburg Center or YMCA. Parents must pick up students by 5:00 PM at the facility.

Traffic Safety Education has been offered in Evergreen Public Schools for over 35 years. This course meets and exceeds the requirements set by the State of Washington regarding Traffic Safety programs.

Evergreen Public Schools partners with the Southwest Washington Child Care Consortium (SWCCC) to offer before and after school care for school-age children.

About Community Education

The Evergreen School District Board of Directors established the Evergreen Community Education program in 1975 to facilitate the people's lives. It has become one of the most successful programs of its kind in Washington. We serve more than 13,400 participants of all ages annually in programs ranging from academics to recreation. Funding for the administration and support of our programs and activities comes primarily from user fees. Most programs are in a "pay to participate" format.

Our MISSION is to facilitate the natural link between school and community and to enrich people's lives through courses and programs that allow participants to Live, Learn and Explore!

All courses and programs must meet minimum enrollment requirements. Classes are usually cancelled five (5) business days in advance if they do not meet the minimums.

Community Education and School Closures

If you are registered for a Community Education Program and/or Activity and the school district is closed due to weather reasons, those programs and activities will be canceled. Re scheduling and make up of those classes/practices will be attempted or refunds will be granted. Please watch your local news or visit us online for latest information.
