Welcome to the official website for Grade 7 at the George Keverian School in Everett, Massachusetts during the 2020-2021 school year! This site is designed to help students and parents connect with teachers, get updates, and keep track of information about life in the Everett Public Schools. Use the menu at the top to navigate to the other pages on our site.
There are expectations for appropriate behavior during all Zoom classes. All sessions will be recorded with chats saved by the teacher as instructed in the E-Education plan from the Everett Public Schools. Here are a few basic behavior expectations for any Zoom session created by our entire team:
Respond to attendance checks and questions
Use their actual names when logged into e-learning
Use the "raise hand" and "mute" features when possible
Stay present and free of distractions
Be respectful of peers, teachers, and guests
The following behavior warning system was developed by the Everett Public Schools as part of the 2020-2021 E-Education plan. Continued behavioral issues will be referred to Assistant Principal Mrs. Taylor and Guidance Counselor Mr. Piazza.
1ST WARNING: Your teacher will send you a private chat message telling you it is your first warning. Students will be muted if necessary.
2ND WARNING: The student will be placed in the Zoom waiting room for 5 minutes and sent another private message with a final reminder about behavior.
REMOVAL: If the behavior continues, the student will be removed from the Zoom. The Assistant Principal will be notified who will follow up with the student.
