Proposition 28 Programs

On November 13, 2023, EUSD's Board of Trustees approved a plan to provide arts and music education at all sites using funding received from the state via Proposition 28.  Programs funded by the AMS grant are used to complete and supplement already existing course/program pathways.

In the program pathway described above, VAPA classes at our 4-6 sites will be funded by Prop28.  At our JHSs, Prop28 will fund the enrichment and elective classes shown as well.

In the pathway described above, Music at TK-3 will be funded via Prop28.  The curriculum used is QuaverEd.

FTE Allocations

OH, GH, and MA: 0.5 FTE each for a music teacher.
RV and EXC: 0.5 each for a VAPA teacher.
OLY and CAV:  Equivalent FTEs (per extra periods) that can be funded from these allocations - CAV ($45,380) and OLY ($49,578).

All sites are offering Arts and Music Programs via Pro28 and all students are served and have access to these programs.
