What is the Student Governing Board? (SGB)
The SGB is a representative body made up of elected students from each ESUHSD school.
The SGB represents student concerns to the ESUHSD Board of Directors.
The SGB president attends board meetings & is a voting member.
The SGB attends Student Advisory club meetings and is the liaison between the board and students at EVHS.

Who qualifies to be a SGB representatives for SCHS?
1 Freshman (1 year term) + 1 Alternate
1 Sophomore (1 year term) + 1 Alternate
1 Junior. (2 year term) + 1 Alternate
1 Senior. (elected as Jr) + 1 Alternate
How are SC’s SGB Representatives Elected?
SGB members are elected during annual class officer elections.
They are the district representatives of their class & their school.
They will run for this specific office NOT the class officer pool
What are the SGB's responsibilities at SCHS?
Attend Student Governing Board meeting at District Office
Report to ASB as needed
Work w/ ICC & Student Advisory Committees within leadership to maintain communication w/ clubs/student body
Become a Link Crew Leader if 10-12th grade
Attend Link Crew Leader training & Link Crew Welcome Rally

What are SGB Responsibilities to ESUHSD?
Site Lead Representative shares SC concerns/suggestions with other site representatives and board
Site Lead votes to represent SC as appropriate.
How does SGB Function at SCHS?
SGB Members are members of the Student Advisory Committee but do not have to be in Leadership class.
SGB Members will be offered a position in the Leadership class.
