Community Relations/Link Crew
Responsibilities of CR
The Community Relations commission represents the bridge between events held at Silver Creek High School and the student body. They play a key role in organizing events meant to promote selflessness and hard work. These commissioners are responsible for the following events:
County Program - Participate in and facilitate weekly visits to the special education department to create bonds with fellow peers and help them feel at home at Silver Creek.
Renaissance Program – Plan and organize our semi-annual honor roll program.
Red Cross Blood Drive - Work with Red Cross to hold a blood drive for our community!
Toy and Food Drives - Help families in the local community year round and especially during the holidays!
Pennies for Patients - Collect pennies from classes and commissions to raise money for the Leukemia and Lymphoma Society.
Skills Required/Desired
CR commissioners are patient with others, organized, attentive, kind, hardworking, great with children, and good with blood! They are expected to plan ahead for the events that CR is responsible for.
APPLY FOR RENAISSANCE!
Students who have earned a GPA of 3.0 or above are recognized for their hard work. Students will receive a certificate in honor of their work. Seniors who have applied and qualified for the program at least 3 times will be able to receive cords for graduation.
