I was born and raised in San José, CA, and come from a Mexican family. I am a full on product of the East Side San José community, having done my primary education in the Alum Rock School District and then in the East Side Union High School District. I went on to San José State, where I graduated with a Spanish degree and minored in Mexican American studies. Later on, I received my credential from there as well. I graduated from James Lick in 2006, and have not left since. I participated in different programs as an undergrad, and in 2011 I came in as a teacher. As a student I played basketball and softball. I then had the privilege, already being a teacher, of coaching girls basketball for 6 years and 2 of them I coached softball as well. I love sports, but most importantly, I love our James Lick community; and I am excited to continue building a better today for our student athletes and community.
