Joseph Martinez
Hello! My name is Joseph Martinez, and I am the Academic Coordinator for the San José Cal-SOAP program at James Lick high school. I went to Mission College where I got my Associate’s Degree in Fire Technology and Evergreen Valley College where I got my Associate’s Degree in Administration of Justice. From there, I transferred to California State University, East Bay where I got my bachelors degree in Sociology. I am currently a graduate student at Santa Clara University where I’m pursuing my Master’s Degree in Counseling and Guidance. I enjoy working with students, and my long-term goal is to become an Academic Coordinator at one of the nearby Community Colleges! Fun fact! I love long walks on the beach and getting my toes in the sand!

My name is Leslie Garcia and I am a College Success Advisor for Cal-SOAP. I am a third-year student at Evergreen Valley College majoring in Business Administration with a concentration in Human Resources. I plan on transferring to San Jose State University this coming fall where I plan on receiving my Bachelor's degree. Fun fact! I love watching my cats watch cat videos!

My name is Tiger and I am the College Advisor for Destination College Advising Corps (DCAC). I went to the University of California, Santa Barbara for my undergraduate degree in Asian American Studies. Right now, I’m in the process of obtaining my master’s degree at San Jose State University. I enjoy working with students and helping them figure out what they want to do in life which is why I want to eventually become a high school counselor! Fun fact! I love video games and movies!

Welcome! My name is Maliah (Ma-Lie-Uh) Kenoly I am the Academic Coordinator for TRiO Talent Search at James Lick High School. I graduated from San Jose State University with a Bachelor’s Degree in Sociology. I studied abroad in Thailand during my senior year of college and absolutely loved it! Come ask me about it sometime. I love working at James Lick because I enjoy connecting with students and supporting students with future goals, aspirations and endeavors! Fun fact! In my free time, I enjoy learning about holistic health, spending time with my family and language learning.

Ello! I am Mariana, the Academic Tutor for TRiO! I am currently a third year student at San Jose State University Majoring in Marketing and pursuing a Minor in Chicana and Chicano Studies! Fun fact! My right foot is one size bigger than my left foot so I always need to buy two pairs of shoes in different sizes to fit both of my feet!
