Tyler Michael Jacobs
Tyler Micheal Jacobs A.K.A. Auntie Ed was born on the moon in the 1900s, that’s why he’s always staring off into space, he just wants to go home. The music he hums under his breath is what connects him to his ancient people. On Earth, he has a lovely family, except for his brother, who always steals the banana nut muffins, which he buys with the limited money he makes as a writer. He fuels his writing power by eating vegetables, which he craves on a daily basis. At Summer Honors he can’t eat as many vegetables which makes him depresso espresso, because he doesn’t have enough power to plot world domination without them. Overall Tyler is a four-and-a-half out of five star teacher. He really needs to fix the staring off into space thing.
The woman you see before you is none other than the amazing Amelia Hunter, who's always the first to give a cheerful “Good Morning!” as soon as she walks in. She brings a smile to all our faces when she slams out a full poem about a bucket hat while drinking an average of two energy drinks a day. Her poems are awesome and she makes a great friend who's up for any adventure, even though she thinks a girlfriend is an object. That won’t be much of a problem though, due to her car, Carol, who she calls the “love of her life”, being a literal object. She is always showing off her handstands and cute outfits, especially the one where she slayed as Kim Possible. You are likely to find her punching or hitting her insanely large bean bag seat she brought to class, that somehow always has that uncomfortable lump in it.
Keeper and expert on everything Yukon, also knows his full name by heart, (she may be part gnome herself). She is also very tired of describing things. She may be a tad aggressive with it sometimes, but she will let no writer go hungry (even resorting to force feeding and using snacks as projectiles)! She's also on the Alumni! Don't worry, it's not a cult (or maybe it is). She feels bad for Pluto so she claims that it is a planet (which it is).
Alizabeth is the most popular band kid there is. Alizabeth is addicted to monsters and chai lattes. She always comes in with one, and sometimes she leaves during class to get some. One might say that she uses her worker discount at the coffee shop a little too generously. As she has stated throughout this week, her natural state is anxiousness. This may be because she always has caffeine on hand. She always has one ear open to listen for out of pocket comments to put in the quote book. She keeps her computer on hand and always comes up with ideas for her poems. She always questions Tyler about everything he says. This might be because he keeps his face covered. Alizabeth is whole-heartedly one of the best people to be around.
His closest friends know Benjamin Popple as the main character of the BPCU. However, to the creative writing class he means so much more. Ben is our comedic relief, and in many cases the one that keeps us sane. He is an amazing poet, regardless of how much he’d like to hide his works from the class. Next time you see Ben in the wild be sure to ask him about his many, many stuffed animal children he’s gotten from the art class.
Lydia is a secret superhero from Saturn. After she realized Lord Gloob was actually a terrorist from Jupiter she fought him (duel style) and won. Everyone was mad that she killed him so she had to flee the planet. She decided Alma, Nebraska would be the perfect place for her to stay undercover and a few years later she found the love of her life, Anika. They then had a Cabbage Patch Kid named PAULATRAITIES. Her, Anika, their son, and best friend Davis go on crazy adventures all over the world. They are the only people that know her true identity. They will be getting PAULATRAITIES tested for cool superhero traits in a few years. She now lives a peaceful life and has never had to worry about the horrible people from Saturn ever again.
A girl born in the middle of nowhere Nebraska. Who aspires to be an arsonist and start fires day and night. She survives on Scooter’s coffee or the other three drinks she brings to class even though it gives her stomach problems. Her body started falling apart in the grade of 2nd so she’s been in a boot most of her life. She tends to hate shoes so she just walks around barefoot even if her feet do stink. Because her life is so boring she likes to write about the most random things, like setting things on fire. Finally, one of her biggest tips to help you in life is to set it on fire.
It’s easy to find Adrianna with a bottle at her desk saying something along the lines of “I’ve already had four Dr. Peppers today.” Her drinking addiction may be a concern to the rest of the class, but it hasn’t impacted her writing skills. She has had many hits in the Creative Writing classroom, but none are as famous as Wet Floor Sign. Writing about the awkward interactions in your local supermarket is more relatable than any of us would like to admit. She also contributes to the constant laughter that is always coming from the class.
Aspyn loves Subway sandwiches and is frightened by magic tricks. Legend has it, Aspyn hasn’t stopped running from the card trick Alizabeth has shown her. Word has come from all over the world about a running writer saying, “That’s scary!” Legend has it, mumbles of the card trick are still echoing through mountain ranges across the planet. Despite this legend, Aspyn has never stopped writing. Aspyn is an ambitious writer whose curiosity drives her fiction and who also enjoys disappearing into the world of a good fantasy story.
Darbie isn’t afraid to get rough and tough in the ring of her underground boxing business. She had fourteen hundred wins and isn't stopping for anyone. Look out, she’s on the search for her next opponent. Don’t cross her, or her gang of criminals. They are all beefy men in their seventies, other than Darbie of course. Their main headquarters is the basement of the Tassel. She also writes, I guess.
Summer Marie Florell is a freshman from Holdrege, so this was her first year at Summer Honors. Almost everyday, she walks in with a coffee from Scooter’s and a random snack. She is a poet who loves to write about her feelings. She is bold and isn’t afraid to share her ideas in class. She also believes that the reason Tyler always wears a mask is because he’s a serial killer that is trying to hide among us.
Jaelyn, a Whippet to the bone, is a freshman this year. She has secretly short hair, to everyone’s great surprise, and plays volleyball as a libero. She writes wonderful short stories which, concerningly describe bars very well. One fact about her is that she recently went to Panera Bread for the first time.
Hali Knott hails from the streets of Minden, Nebraska but was originally born from the depths of a sourdough bread bowl. She is an excellent writer with her short stories and micro-fictions. She also has outstanding fashion sense as she’s always seen in cute fits with fashionable accessories. Her closest friends include a variety of goats, she wishes she had more duck friends but is simply not cool enough for them. Hali is very sweet and supportive of the people in the Creative Writing class and while she may be quiet sometimes she is also quite hilarious. It is Hali’s first year at summer honors and not only did she kill it but she also became a great friend and part of the class!
