About John Simpson
John started his career at Estacada School District in 2009 as a Maintenance worker for The High School and Eagle Creek Elementary. He served our district from 2009-2012 in that capacity . In 2012 John accepted a Lead Maintenance role serving the district as a whole. Fast forward to 2015; John was elected for the Maintenance Supervisor position. His time was spent working side by side with the custodial team building bridges between facilities and the day to day operations of the district. In 2017 John accepted the challenge as the Facilities Coordinator role. In this position, he has helped create a phenomenal team environment between all aspects of facilities.
John is the youngest member of a large family of 6 brothers. He moved from Georgia in the 80s with his family and has planted roots in the NW. He lives in Estacada and enjoys spending time outdoors with his wife and son. John is an animal lover with a dog named Yeti, a cat named Rory and a horse named Monkey.

The 17 staff and tradespeople of Estacada School District Maintenance and Custodial Department are dedicated to maintaining the district’s 282,000 sf of facilities and over 60 acres of grounds in order to provide a safe, comfortable, and accommodating learning environment for all staff, students and community stakeholders.
