September's Mindful Make:
Each monthly workshop will focus on the 7 C's of resilience and teaching artists how to practice self-care and self-love through creating their own art.
In September, artists will learn simple ways they can practice self-care, discuss the benefits these practices and create an artwork that shows their favorite ways to care for themselves or would like to In the future. Self-care deliberately sets aside time to recenter and calm ourselves, fostering healthy habits for our minds and feelings just as we do for our bodies. Creating these healthy habits of rest at a young age empowers kids to continue to be resilient in all that life brings.
Artists are able to attend one session or attend them all! They do not have to regularly attend to be able to participate. Each session will conclude with a finished personal artwork.
This Mindful Makers session will be taught by Kathleen Ehrlich, a NYS certified art teacher in ESM’s school district. With experience of 17+ years, she has designed these classes with a focus on mindfulness to ensure positive experiences with making, creating, and healing.
*Enrollment Is limited to 10 seats per session. If you are interested in a sold out session, please reach out. If there Is enough interest, we are able to accommodate another session in the morning.*
