January's Mindful Make:
Each monthly workshop will focus on the 7 C's of resilience and teaching artists how to practice self-care and self-love through creating their own art.
In January, artists will take a quiz to help them discover what character traits are their strongest and create an artwork that celebrates that strength in their life. Performance character strengths can help to predict success at school and work, while moral character strengths help to build resilience through personal challenges.
"In a society that fosters the importance of winning,
we must reinforce that it is how you play the game that defines us"
Artists are able to attend one session or attend them all! They do not have to regularly attend to be able to participate. Each session will conclude with a finished personal artwork.
This Mindful Makers session will be taught by Kathleen Ehrlich, a NYS certified art teacher in ESM’s school district. With experience of 17+ years, she has designed these classes with a focus on mindfulness to ensure positive experiences with making, creating, and healing.
*Enrollment Is limited to 10 seats per session. If you are interested in a sold out session, please reach out. If there Is enough interest, we are able to accommodate another session in the morning.*
