Daily Devotions & A Message for Parents

As ESM transitions to home-based remote learning for a period of time it is important to understand our goals. Remote Learning is different than an eLearning Day. We utilize an eLearning Day when weather forces a school campus closure for a day at a time. The focus for our school community during a period of Remote Learning is to maintain relationships through the interaction between our students and teachers. Remote learning will also extend learning and curriculum in differentiated ways. We encourage you to support your child in the following ways.

  1. Assist your child in making a weekly connection with your child's homeroom teacher. That connection might come by phone or through a web based conference call. This personal check in will help your child's teacher adapt and support his/her learning during the separation.

  2. Supervise and encourage your child's participation. While flexibility, grace, and understanding are required in situations such as this, keep in mind the learning will only be as valuable as the effort put forth.

  3. Communicate limitations with your child's teacher. Our teacher's will attempt to accommodate your circumstance as best possible. Keep in mind that our community is supporting families in unprecedented ways also. (Comcast offers Free Internet)
