K-3 Music

Welcome to the web site for grades K-3 Music activities at Emmanuel-St Michael Lutheran School! These are simple musical activities all K-3 children (and even you - the parents) can enjoy while everyone is at home, and they still practice musical skills the students have learned in school. Basically...Learn AND Play! These are NOT assignments and there is nothing to be turned in as homework. If you have any questions or concerns, please feel free to e-mail me at efranz@esmeagles.com.

God bless and be safe and healthy! I miss you all very much.

Bounce/Play the Beat!

Watch Mrs. Franz practice her Basketball skills with the beat of a rock song! Then you can get your ball and bounce/dribble to a song you love! Don't have a ball? That's okay! Play the beat on ANY instrument you can make or find around the house (basket, bucket, 2 sticks, and others!).

*I said "SPI" because that is my other school that I made this video for first :)

GOOD NEWS!

Mrs. Franz will be having another baby in October!

Do you think it's a boy or a girl? :)

Play Along with the Video!

Have fun playing your with the Busy Bee as he flies to each flower (this is called pollination - spreading pollen to help the flowers grow, and he gets nectar to make honey)!

Instructions:

1) Find any musical instrument or make one!

2) ONLY PLAY when the Bee (the Conductor) touches a flower.

Here are some other Instrumental Play-A-Longs!

Some can use more than 1 instrument!

Another known song about flowers to play with.

Play an instrument OR MOVE with the people!

It looks like Mrs. Franz! :)

I call this one "Mozart in Super Mario World" :)

The birds are singing again! Have fun playing the notes with the Angry Birds song!

Play the note that disappears.

One circle with a stem/stick = quarter note = 1 clap

Two circles with 2 stems = 8th notes = 2 claps

Squiggly line = rest = Don't make a sound
