CREATING AN EASTER CARD

5th graders are doing a craft today. They create Easter cards to send to Llevantí de Mar before Easter holiday. We'll write a rhyme or a short poem in it next week to wish a happy Easter to our penpals!

READING OUR PENPALS LETTERS

Pere Rosselló 5th graders wrote a letter to a Llevantí de Mar student. In this photo, 5thB students are reading the letters that Llevantí de Mar students wrote for them. Taking profit of Sophie, the conversation assistant of both schools, we are exchanging different kind of activities and having a penpal is one of those.

5th graders do different kind of activities (speakings, writings, readings...) at the same time! They work in groups, individually, they sit on the chairs and sometimes on the floor.

They are doing a speaking game called "Time's up". They like this new game we are introducing in the class.

TO LLEVANTÍ DE MAR STUDENTS

We are excited to start this project with Llevantí de Mar 5th and 6th graders. 5th graders wrote letters and prepared the envelopes because they want to send them to a school in Sant Antoni de Calonge. Sophie is in that school too and she is going to be our postwoman.

We are looking forward to our penpals letters. We hope they arrive this week to our school.

We are doing an aquarium using a shoe box in the Arts and Crafts class. It's a laborious activity, that's why we listen to music while doing it!

The 3rd grade students read a book in English once a week. They read and do different kind of activities.

We are improving our oral skills doing different kind of activities. It's difficult because some pupils are shy but, little by little, they feel more confident.

HALLOWEEN AT SCHOOL!

L'Escola Pere Rosselló va celebrar Halloween d'una manera ben especial. Durant el mes d'octubre i des de l'àrea de llengua estrangera, els alumnes de Cicle Superior van preparar jocs "espantosos" i van redactar-ne les instruccions. Una tarda de principis de Novembre els alumnes de primer a quart de primària van sortir al pati i van estar jugant. Estaven repartits en 3 espais clarament diferenciats i havia un total de 6 jocs diferents. Els nens i nenes de cinquè i sisè dirigien els jocs utilitzant l'anglès com a llengua de comunicació amb els més petits. Va ser tota una experiència.

Preparing Christmas!

Last week, in the Arts and Crafts class, we decorated pine cones and created fantastic Xmas trees!Woow! These little kids are great artists! You can do this craft at home using the following material:

A pine cone.
Green paint.
Paint brushes.
Glitter.
Silk paper or pompons.
A cork.
Silicone.
