Wonderopolis is one of my favorite websites! It provides many of the essential parts of PBL Activities. You can sign up for the Wonder of the Day for a daily topic of discussion (perfect for journal writing.)

PhET Interactive Simulations is provided by University of Colorado Bouldin. Once you select Play with Simulations, you can search for activities based on grade level.

Periodic Videos offers videos for every element on the periodic table. You can find them on their YouTube Channel also.

The mission of Understanding Science is to provide a fun, accessible, and free resource that accurately communicates what science is and how it really works. This website is provided by University of California Berkeley.

PlantingScience is a free online resource to teachers and schools. The program provides volunteer scientists, resources, and activities to support innovation in teaching, learning, and mentoring. Open education resources are shared for student-centered plant investigations that integrate scientific practices and big ideas in biology that meet the guidelines in the Next Generation Science Standards and other 21st century education standards.

We are a learning community where scientists provide online mentorship to student teams as they design and think through their own inquiry projects. The program is collaborative engagement in science education that crosses traditional learning settings: K-12 and higher education; learning in and out of class; hands-on and technology-enhanced.

Eric Curts continually updates this list of online Science resources and provides it free for everyone!

The purpose of the Earth Exploration Toolbook (EET) is to support access to and effective use of scientific datasets and analysis tools by the educational community. Each chapter provides background information, supplemental resources, and teaching notes that enable an educator to use the chapter as is, apply it to other teaching contexts, and help students to explore and investigate a variety of aspects of the Earth system.

The Utah Education Network created a website full of great Science Interactives for the schools in their state. Thankfully, they made it available to us as well. The image to the right is just a few of their engaging activities. This link goes directly to the 7-12 grade Science page.
