ESL/EL Civics class are offered to adult students who are 18 years and older at all proficiency levels wanting to improve their English language skills and basic civics rights and responsibilities in reading, writing, listening and speaking.

  • Outcomes of participation in our ESL/EL Civics classes include:
    • Obtain or retain employment
    • Become more productive and responsible citizen
    • Transition towards high school equivalency or post-secondary education
  • Students who want to enroll in these classes are required to do the following:
    • Attend an enrollment session (click on the class site link below to find current enrollment dates)
    • Be administered the Best Oral Testing and Best Literacy Testing for your pre-testing
    • Attend an advising session with your Literacy Instructor
    • Complete 60 class contact hours or more and be administered a post-test
