To mark a question for review, select "Mark for Review" from the context menu.
The question number displays a flap in the upper-right corner.
In the image below, questions 1, 4, and 7 have been "marked for review".
A flag icon also appears next to the number when the "Items" drop-down list is displayed.

Check Boxes in Google Docs
Students can practice using the check box feature in Google Docs to indicate questions that still need attention or still need to be answered.
