Overview

Padlet is a community-centered internet application “that allows users to easily express their thoughts on a common topic” (source) and read what others have to say. It is essentially a virtual bulletin board in which collaborators can simultaneously create and organize posts of any content type, whether it be text, documents, images, videos, links, etc.

• Parent permission should be received prior to use with minor students to ensure permissions are granted for student images and voice recordings to be used. ("User Content" may include text, images, videos, audio, documents, files, links from the web, drawings and maps.)

• Paid "Backpack" version is recommended to allow for district consistency in ownership of data (FERPA compliance) and account permissions.

• Data should be downloaded and stored for retention PRIOR to cancelling account/subscription
