FEBRUARY 2022:

The Eco Committee have been busy litter picking and have begun a campaign to stop people leaving litter in our garden. There is no bin at the bus stop and so we have made one for people to use. We hope it is successful.

JANUARY 2022:

We are busy preparing for our next Green Flag

so we have put our action plan in place.

On that

On it we have things we want to achieve,

- More lights /lanterns

- Willow tunnel

- Planting trees for a forest

- Bake bread to toast at the fire pit

- Recycling and litter picking

- Chickens for eggs

- More flowers and weeds

- Make soup from vegetables grown in the garden

- Building Dens and making swings

- Paint a mural on the wall with children from primary/secondary school

OCTOBER 2021:

We were learning about recycling and the different bins we can use for different materials. We also learned about why we should use less plastic through stories of plastic bags, the effect rubbish has on the environment and the plight of the turtles.

We used our creativity and imagination to make our costumes out of recycled materials to raise awareness of three R’s

Reduce Reuse Recycle

We were able to show off our outfits to parents and teachers when we walked in the garden and enjoyed the applause from the audience.
