Mr. Zimmerman is an alumnus of East Palestine High School ('17) and is delighted to teach at his Alma Mater. 

Mr. Zimmerman believes in the power of music to transform lives and is dedicated to creating a nurturing space where students of all ages can grow, learn, and thrive. He views music as a lifelong journey, and his goal is to help each student develop their skills while building lasting connections and a deep love for the art. At East Palestine, every rehearsal is an opportunity to build friendships, develop character, and share a lifelong passion for music!

Mr. Zimmerman is currently responsible for co-teaching grades 5-7 and HS bands as well as HS Choir, MS choir, HS Music Industry, HS General Music, and assisting with HS Drama. Mr. Zimmerman also oversees the lighting and sound system for the HS Auditorium. 

Additionally, Mr. Zimmerman co-coaches the HS Academic Challenge team, serves as the Rotary Interact Advisor, and is also the Sophomore Class Advisor.

In his free time, Mr. Zimmerman enjoys attending live music and theater performances, cooking and travel. Fun fact: Mr. Zimmerman has visited 49 of the 50 states and will check off his 50th state (Alaska) in the summer of 2026!
