JUNIOR GIRLS - JUNIOR BOYS - SENIOR GIRLS - SENIOR BOYS

Basketball selections occur within the first or second week of November and runs through to the middle of March for provincials. While McNally Athletics hosts a number of inclusive sports, basketball is one of the few sports that requires student-athletes to participate in a team selection process. McNally Tigers Basketball teams compete in junior and senior competition levels. The number of teams range from year to year and is dependant on the students, coaches, and teachers who participate in the season. Student-athletes meet with the coaches individually after tryouts are completed to receive feedback on whether they have been selected or not, and what they did well and areas to improve upon. Please keep an eye on Tigers News for the exact dates for next year.

TOURNAMENTS

Junior teams enter 2 tournaments and we host the McHoopla Basketball Tournament for our junior teams at the beginning of the season to get us started.

Senior teams enter 3 tournaments and we hope to add a fourth tournament 'on the road'. The goal is to attend a tournament where the team stays overnight.

Tigers Athletics hosts the Roary's Classic Basketball tournament for junior high schools where students learn to officiate games and contribute to hosting the event. Please plan to volunteer your time if you plan to be a part of the Basketball program.

FUTURE GOALS

3 on 3 basketball is a growing offshoot of the sport, Tigers Athletics is looking forward to getting involved in participating and hosting 3 on 3 tournaments in the near future.
