Badminton selections occur within the first week of February and runs through to the beginning of May for provincials. While McNally Athletics hosts a number of inclusive sports, badminton is one of the few sports that requires student-athletes to participate in a team selection process. McNally Tigers Badminton team compete in junior, intermediate, and senior competition levels. MetroAthletics league and the ASAA provincials host boys' singles, girls' singles, boys' doubles, girls" doubles, and mixed doubles. The number of team members can range from year to year and is dependant on the students who participate in the selection process. Student-athletes will meet with the coaches individually after tryouts are completed to receive feedback on whether they have been selected or not, and what they did well and areas to improve upon.
