High School Diploma
This pathway is designed for students who may be interested in post-secondary education, pursuing further course studies or transitioning to the workforce after high school. Students earn at least 100 credits by taking required courses.
Earn at least 5 credits in these required courses:
English 30-1 or 30-2
Social Studies 30-1 or 30-2
Mathematics 20-1, 20-2 or 20-3
Science 20 or 24, Bio 20, Chem 20, Physics 20
Physical Education 10
Career and Life Management (CALM)
Earn 10 credits in:
Career and Technology Studies (CTS) Courses
Fine Arts Courses
Second Languages Courses
Physical Education 20 and/or 30
Knowledge and Employability (K&E) Courses
Registered Apprenticeship Program Courses
Locally Developed Courses
In addition to 10 credits in:
any 30 level course other than English and Social
Support Classes
Support classes are for students motivated to earn a high school Diploma and needing additional strategies to improve their success in core subjects such as Math 10-3S, English 10-2S, Science 14S, and Social Studies 10-2S. Teachers deliver the regular curriculum while embedding structured supports and accommodations into classroom instruction.
Certificate of High School Achievement
This pathway is designed for students transitioning to the workforce after high school or planning to pursue further course studies that may not require post-secondary education. Students earn at least 80 credits by taking required courses.
Earn at least 5 credits in these required courses:
English 30-4 or 20-2
Social Studies 20-4 or 10-2
Mathematics 20-4 or 10-3
Science 20-4 or 14
Physical Education 10
Career and Life Management (CALM)
Earn 5 credits in:
30 level Knowledge and Employability (K&E)
Occupational Course, or
30 level Career and Technology Studies (CTS) Course
In addition to 5 credits in:
30 level Work Experience Course
Certificate -4 Courses
Our -4 course sequence teaches the Knowledge and Employability (K&E) curriculum in structured classes with embedded supports. This pathway is for students working more than two years below grade level in reading, writing or math and focusing on workplace readiness after high school. Students work towards a Certificate of High School Achievement and have the opportunity to take additional courses and transition to the High School Diploma pathway after acquiring proficiency in reading and writing requirements.
