Off-Campus Learning

Work Experience

Our Work Experience program provides students with valuable job skills, employment experience and valuable high school credits. Students can work after school or on weekends, in positions with fast food restaurants, retail or grocery stores, warehouses, daycares or virtually any paid or volunteer workplace. Grades can be used to qualify for Rutherford Scholarship.

Registered Apprenticeship Program (RAP)

M.E. LaZerte is proud of the partnerships with community employers supporting our young apprentices. Students have a chance to complete their high school diploma, earn a competitive wage and begin an apprenticeship in a skilled trade; all before they graduate! The registered apprenticeship program program offers training in nearly 60 certified trades. The attendance and work ethic students show in their classes are major factors in being accepted into RAP. Student grades can be used to qualify for the Rutherford Scholarship.
