THE VOICE SINGING COMPETITION RULES AND GUIDELINES
To all the singers, it is time to warm up your vocal cords as a singing challenge is coming your way. You have the chance to showcase your singing prowess.
PARTICIPANT CATEGORIES
■ Solo - students from IPGKs, Public and International Universities.
■ Group - comprise of 2-3 students from IPGKs, Public and International Universities.
COMPETITION DURATION
■ 13 July - 14 August 2023
■ Late entries will not be accepted under any circumstances.
CLOSING CEREMONY VENUE AND DATE
IPGKBA Campus on Friday, 15 September 2023
GUIDELINES
o Time allotted for each performance is 3-5 minutes.
o If you plan more than one piece, then the two-piece performance must be continuously performed within the 5-minute performance.
o You will not be allowed to refer to the lyrics while singing.
o You will be judged on voice quality, expression and showmanship.
o You should bring your own musical instrument if required in the performance.
o Choice of song is open but the song should not have any slang, profanity or derogatory language.
SUBMISSION OF VIDEO
Record your performance. Upload your video to Youtube. Obtain a Youtube link. Send the link via the entry form below.
SUBMISSION DEADLINE
Entries must reach the organisers latest by 4:30 pm on 14 August 2023. Late submissions will not be entertained.
FINALISTS
Six finalists will be selected from the entries. The six finalists will participate in the final IN-PERSON round of competition to select the three winners.
Finalists will be informed on Wednesday 30 August 2023 via the website. Watch this space!
The final round of the competition will be held at:

REVISED Date: Thursday, 14 September 2023
REVISED Time: 9.00 a.m - 12.30 p.m.
Medals will be awarded to the 1st, 2nd and 3rd prize winners (Solo and Group) when the competition ends on Wednesday, 13 September 2023.
Certificates will be awarded to the finalists.
CERTIFICATES OF PARTICIPATION
All participants will receive a certificate of participation to be sent to the email address indicated in the competition entry form.
TERMS AND CONDITIONS
1. Judges’ decisions are final, and no appeals will be entertained.
2. The organiser reserves the right to reject incomplete submissions, or submissions that may be considered inappropriate.
3. The use of musical instruments is optional. Participants may be accompanied by a backing track (minus one) if they choose.
4. All costs and expenses in connection with the production of the video and the participation of the competition shall be fully borne by the participants.
5. All submissions must reach us by or on 14 August 2023.
6. Late submissions will not be accepted.
