Speech & Language Therapy

Hello! Welcome to Speech-Language Therapy with Miss Davies!

2/01/2018: I will be available to meet at Elm Middle School's Parent Teacher Conferences on Thursday, February 8th from 3:30-7:00 pm at the Elm Middle School gym.

Additionally, I will be at Elmwood Park High School's Parent Teacher Conferences on Thursday, February 15th from 3:30-700 pm in the library.

12/22/2017: Happy First Day of Winter! EPCUSD 401 will be off for Winter Break from December 25th to January 5th. Our first day back for second semester will be Monday, January 8th. In preparation for break, we have taken time to discuss the importance of relaxing/recharging by doing things we enjoy, such as playing video games and watching TV. However, we really tried to emphasize the importance of also getting involved in community activities and planning times to hang out with classmates.

The Elmwood Park Public Library has a variety of classes offered over break. These activities are great opportunities for our students to get out of the house to try something new! Additionally, almost all of the teen activities offered at the pubic library are free. Students are encouraged to register online prior to the event to ensure they have a spot! Have a safe and fun Winter Break!

10/13/2017: Elmwood Park High School's midterms are next week and will be taking place on Tuesday 10/17 and Wednesday 10/18. Students will complete their Mod 1 and Mod 2 exams on Tuesday. Mod 3 and Mod 4 exams will take place on Wednesday. We have been preparing for midterms by reviewing study strategies and test taking tips. 9/15/2017: This is my first year working as a school-based speech-language pathologist. I work with students at Elm Middle School and Elmwood Park High School! I am very excited to get to know EPCUSD's students better and learn with them this 2017-2018 school year!

I received my bachelor's in Communication Sciences & Disorders from Elmhurst College. I went on to graduate from Saint Xavier University with a master's in Speech-Language Pathology. Although I just graduated in May 2016, I have experience treating individuals with speech, language, and cognitive difficulties at Chicago Public Schools, Cook County special education cooperatives, and rehabilitation centers in the Chicagoland area.
