Thematic Session
on
The Cyber and the Physical Symbiosis
Venue: Hybrid Fall 2021
We are thrilled to announce the organization the thematic session on "The Cyber and the Physical Symbiosis". The event consists of four talks given by worldwide renowned Professors, followed by a discussion on the role of. They will present current information and ongoing research within the topic – and we’d like to invite you to join the web conferences and the discussion!
Cyber-Physical Systems (CPS) are systems where cyber processes read from and write to the physical world. The interactions between both worlds make such systems interdisciplinary and of a particular interest. Nowadays, CPS are at the core of human everyday life, such as vehicles, home, healthcare devices as well as industrial processes and transportation, among others. The combination of two contradictory requirements originating from the computational world (the cyber) and the dynamics world (the physical) makes the design of such systems sensitive and fragile. The implications for research, development, and standards of CPS are to focus on effective design, security, and a unified perspective of both worlds, to achieve the Symbiosis.
The target audience is junior and senior researches working in fields related to the topic. Still, participation is free and open to people from any background or institution.
The goal of this event is to provide background on the design of CPS and share recent research results and insights on the field. It also creates a valuable opportunity for discussions and interactions.
