MRS. SWAFFORD

I am Christy Swafford, and I am the STEAM Facilitator and Coach at Charles Hay World School.

I have a Master of Arts in Education with a specialization in Gifted and Talented. I began my career in education in my hometown of Athens, Alabama. I spent six years teaching fifth and sixth grade, Pre-AP English, and Gifted and Talented before leaving the classroom to help Alabama and Colorado teachers incorporate technology into their instruction. I am excited to kick off my tenth year in education by joining Englewood School District’s STEAM team!

My husband and I spend most of our time reading books and playing Legos with our three-year-old daughter, Lara. We also enjoy camping in the summer, cheering for my alma mater in the fall (Roll Tide!), and long, slow drives up I-70 to ski in the winter.
