As part of the Ph.D. program’s educational requirements, all Ph.D. students must serve as Teaching Assistants (TAs) for a minimum of two semesters, preferably during their second year. The TA assignments are made by the department. There is no compensation associated with the TA assignment as it is an academic requirement.
