Introduction to Computer Science and Object-Oriented Programming: Java

Course Overview

This course will serve as an introduction to the java programming language, as well as a general introduction to object-oriented programming. Students who successfully complete CSE 11 should be able to:

  • Demonstrate basic understanding of how computers work
  • Analyze problems and formulate algorithms to solve them
  • Write programs in Java
  • Debug and test Java programs for correctness
  • Read basic Java programs to determine their purpose
