The University of Toyama, King Mongkut's University of Technology North Bangkok (KMUTNB), King Mongkut's University of Technology Thonburi (KMUTT), National Metal and Materials Technology Center (MTEC), Chulalongkorn University (CU), Thai Tribology Association (TTA), Eastern Economic Corridor of Innovation (EECi), The Aluminum Industry Club, The Federation of Thai Industries (FTI), and RX BITEC are proud to host The 3rd International Symposium on Light Materials Technology (ISLMT) under the theme: “Aluminum Industry Transformation Toward Greener, More Efficient, and High-Value Markets.” This event will bring together government leaders, industry executives, researchers, and global experts to discuss how Thailand’s aluminum sector can evolve into a world-class, sustainable, and certified supply chain hub for aerospace, electric vehicles, and rail systems. This year's theme focuses on the global outlook (Aluminum in aerospace, EVs, and sustainability), green growth (recycling and carbon reduction strategies), and innovative manufacturing technologies in casting, extrusion, forging, and rolling.
The symposium's objectives are to showcase Thailand’s readiness to become a regional hub for certified aluminum innovation, share insights on greener processing, recycling, and energy efficiency, highlight the role of digital integration and simulation in improving process efficiency, discuss certification pathways as enablers for entry into high-value global markets, and strengthen collaboration between government, industry, academia, and local communities.
