If you love pigs, then you are sure to enjoy the Truest Story of the Three Little Pigs, a play new to Visalia and our surrounding communities. Written by playwright and Enchanted Playhouse Board member, Debbie Metzler, the tale tells the adventurous story of the much maligned Big Bad Wolf from his own very intriguing point of view and gives the audience insight into his thoughts and feelings as he encounters our pigs, phony wolves, The Boy Who Cried Wolf, Red Riding Hood, the Woodsman and, of course, Grandma. In this new-to-the-stage version, our playwright asks the question, “Who is the Big Bad Wolf?” Is he really the mischievous denizen of the woods and enemy of the Three Little Pigs? Or, is there more to this piggy tale? Our wolf, Jason, is doing his best to keep his promise and fit in with a modern, civilized world; but the well-being of his children and the antics of the Three Little Pigs call up a past he has tried hard to leave behind! Will our wolf, Jason, continue his life as the patient father and vegetarian diner with a penchant for sweets, or will the Three Little Pigs push him past the breaking point? Only time (and the Boy Who Cried Wolf) will tell.
