Rosemead High School is home to many talented and kind students, but today I’d like to focus on one exceptional individual: Keyle Lam! Keyle, a sophomore here at RHS, is an active member of both ASB and K-Roses, one of RHS’s dance teams. She’s a nice, talented, and smart person that many people enjoy being around.
As part of ASB, Keyle is the Class of 2027’s treasurer. As treasurer, Keyle must keep in touch with different vendors, sometimes staying after school to help plan in-school and off-campus events for the school. She is very dedicated, and no matter what, she somehow seems to find time for the extra things she enjoys doing.
In addition to being in ASB, Keyle is also the vice president of K-Roses. K-Roses is RHS’s K-pop dance club, and they perform at school events and assemblies in front of the entire school. K-pop (or Korean pop), a genre of music, is enjoyed by many and is growing in popularity as more people discover it. As a member of K-roses myself, I believe Keyle is a really good dancer and seems very dedicated to the club. She tries to include everyone who is part of the club and hypes up or encourages performing members, whether it’s during practice or just before they go on stage to perform for the school to see and enjoy.
Now, you might be thinking: How does Keyle manage her time as the treasurer of ASB and the vice president of K-roses? Well, Kyle actually has a lot of free time because she usually completes her classwork and homework whenever she has a gap in her busy schedule. This allows her to stay after school for K-roses dance practice, ASB events, or sometimes both. If she doesn’t finish all her work before she has to attend an after-school activity, she tries to complete the rest at home—but that rarely happens since she’ll even do homework during lunch.
Keyle is a very sweet and wholesome person. She’s nice to be around and is always there if you need her. The reason I chose to write about Keyle is that she is someone on campus people can look up to, including myself; I almost see her as an older sibling. For example, at practice, she helps me and other members with things I need to work on or just joke around with me. I’ve known her since elementary school, so I trust her a lot, and you can too!
