Advancement Via Individual Determination (AVID): An overview of this special academic elective class where students are taught how to think critically, collaborate, and set high expectations for themselves in order to confidently conquer the challenges that await them.

We will explain the yearbook and journalism programs at Arroyo High School. We will discuss the importance of the journalism program, as well as what is involved.
Link Crew is a high school transition program that welcomes freshmen and makes them feel comfortable throughout the first year of their high school experience. Built on the belief that students can help students succeed. This proven transition program trains mentors from your junior and senior classes to be Link Crew Leaders who guide the freshmen to discover how to be successful during the transition to high school and help facilitate freshman success.
Aiming for an Ivy League or UC/CSU school? Challenge yourself and take Pre-AP/AP courses! Taking these courses prepare you for Advanced Placement (AP), where you can get college credit if you do well on the AP exam at the end of the class. In addition, you can get an extra point added to your GPA when you earn a C or better in AP courses.
"What is "Shields Up" and why is that on my schedule*? Learn more about our daily 24-minute, school-wide intervention program designed to support students who are struggling academically, reward students for their academic success, assist our Freshman with a successful transition to high school, and develop a campus-wide culture of success. Program goals include: reduced D/F rate, decrease in detention hours, and cohesive school culture.

An overview of the Arroyo Choral Music Program in both distance learning, and face-to-face learning. The academic and social-emotional learning benefits of choral singing will be discussed.
This meeting is for incoming 9th graders who will be taking Biology or Pre-AP Biology/Biology Acc. next year.
Come hear about options and opportunities to learn Spanish or Chinese in the wonderful World Language department. You will learn about the different levels and programs to either begin a new language or to increase your skills in your native language.
