Welcome Back to Art and Design Class EMS Students!!
Introduction:
The EMS curriculum for art and design aims to ensure that all pupils produce creative work, exploring their ideas and recording their experiences. Pupils become proficient in drawing, painting, sculpture and other art, craft and design techniques. They evaluate and analyse creative works using the language of art, craft and design. They are introduced to great artists, craft makers and designers and understand the historical and cultural development of their art forms .
Art and Design give students a platform to express themselves by using their imagination, creativity and developing skills. They will be experiencing it through explorations and research from different cultures and across historical periods. Students will be creating independently and collaboratively through a selection of materials, processes and demonstrate innovation. They will reflect and analyze on creative ideas and practices from different perspectives. The most important aspect is to think and work artistically and to demonstrate awareness of how Art & Design affects their own lives in that of those around them.

Assessment:
We will be assessing students as per their understanding of the Elements of Art and the Principles of Design.
Assessment will be focused on their knowledge, the originality of the work., the process, the accuracy and the craftsmanship.
